About the role: The Parks and Trails Maintenance Student is responsible for working with the Parks and Trails Maintenance Crew on a variety of building and ground maintenance functions in support of all Municipal parks and trails. The Parks and Trails Maintenance Crew participates in ongoing projects and maintenance to include tree cutting, brush removal, repair and painting of buildings, picnic tables, shelters, gardening, weeding, trail maintenance, etc.  

Salary:   $17.50-$18.50/hr, full-time hours

Location: 251 Lancaster Crescent, Debert
 
Qualities to succeed in the role:
·        Motivated, ambitious, and enthusiastic
·        Ability to multi-task
·        Ability to perform moderate to heavy labour with or without accommodation
·        Willingness to work in various weather conditions

Education & experience required:
·        Full-time post secondary student and returning to school on a full-time basis in the fall
·        Experience working with ground maintenance equipment
·        Experience working with carpentry hand tools, an asset
