About the role: The Fundy Discovery Site is looking for reliable students to work as Visitor Information Centre Representatives. Their tasks will include:

·        Promote the Bay of Fundy, specifically Colchester County to visitors to the center
·        Inform and educate the visitors on the uniqueness of Bay of Fundy, and the Tidal Bore
·        Promote Colchester County, including but not limited to, the Town of Truro, Town of Stewiacke, Shubenacadie, Tatamagouche, Five Islands
·        Assist visitors with travel plans, understanding maps, assisting in reservations, offering clear and concise directions to all areas of Nova Scotia
·        Routine checks of the grounds, playground, and washrooms
 
Salary:   $17.50-$18.50/hr, full-time hours
 
Qualities to succeed in the role:
·        Strong listening, verbal, and written communication skills in a frontline or virtual customer service environment including email, chat, voice, and in-person
·        Deliver exceptional customer service
·        Work cooperatively in a team environment as well as independently

Education & experience required:
 ·        Bilingualism or studying French
·        Visitor services experience
·        Sales experience
·        Knowledge and experience in the promotion of Nova Scotia’s travel experiences
·        Certifications in First Aid, WHMIS, and certifications in Tourism/Visitor Services
·        Full-time secondary or post-secondary student returning to full-time studies in the fall
