About the role: This summer student role will work in our Community Development department providing administrative support to staff and customer service support to the public. Tasks may include:
- Processing building and development permits
- Providing information to developers, property owners, and the public
- Completing general clerical duties
Salary: $17.50-$18.50/hr, full-time hours
Qualities to succeed in the role:
- Exceptional interpersonal skills
- Proficiency in MS Office, including Excel
- Customer service oriented
- Interest in the fields of planning and environmental sustainability
Education & experience required:
- Post-secondary student returning to full-time studies in the fall. Preference given to those studying planning, community development or geography.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Administrative and/or customer service experience is an asset.
- GIS skills are an asset.
